Melcher Media approached our studio to design InStyle's Ultimate Beauty Secrets Book with the mission to make it much more beautiful and distinctive than InStye's books of the past. I have great respect for InStyle's creative team, headed by Ariel Foxman and Rena Stone. Rena and I have the same classic typographic background with a love for bold, unembellished layouts. We were able to create a very strong, yet feminine book working with Paul Barne's beautiful Austin typeface and the luscious photography of shadows and blushes...a girl's makeup dream book.
