While creative director at Roger Black Incorporated, I headed up the redesign for Mens's Health and the rebranding of Men's Health covers. We introduced sexy black and white photos and weren't afraid to show skin. Newstand sales immediately jumped 23%. The iconic black and white image remained in place and successful for the brand for nearly ten years.
